Coveris was revealed as the winner of two Gold and one Silver Award at the prestigious Flexographic Industry Association (FIA) UK Awards Gala Dinner 2022. Celebrating quality, innovation, sustainability and technical development in the flexographic industry, the FIA UK Awards are a highlight in the print calendar. The FIA UK Awards and 50th anniversary Gala Dinner took place on Thursday 22nd September at the iconic Silverstone Race Circuit.
Coveris proudly took Gold in the Sustainably Produced Packaging category for the second consecutive year. Coveris’ winning entry is its MonoFlexBE first-of-its-kind, fully recyclable barrier monolaminate grated cheese pouches launched with Tesco, Iceland and Sainsbury’s alongside Ornua Foods. A pioneering development in the cheese category, the launch of Coveris’ MonoFlexBE pouches enabled the switch to a recyclable material and achieved pack weight savings for all three retailers.
Recognising print excellence, Coveris Boston was awarded Gold in the Flexo Surface on Clear – Narrow category with its film labels for Tesco Finest Orange 1 litre bottles. Demonstrating further print quality on film substrates, Coveris Burnley received a Silver Award in the Flexo Reverse Print on Film – Medium category for its print for Sainsbury's 'Taste the Difference' Coronation Chicken Flavoured Potato Crisps.
Amberley Labels, part of the Coveris Group, achieved a Gold Award for its Embellishment Showcase folder in the Flexographic Promotional Print category.
